Last 4 days trip on Jeju Island was one of the best in my life, I dare to say. Despite of all messes happened, its pretty nice to feel the warmth and cheeriness of Indonesian people, plus the proud and happiness of representing our beautiful country and performing a tiny bit yet amazing culture of it.

There were 24 of us, coming from Seoul, Suwon and Busan, originated from various areas of Indonesia, who full-heartedly showed Pencak Silat, Dances of Saman, Baris Tunggal, Modern Melayu, Jaipong, Roro Ngigel, Mak Inang Pulau Kampai and the sensational Poco-Poco. The event named Jeju World Culture and Travel Expo, a side event of Korea-ASEAN Commemorative Summit. Other than those performances, Indonesia represented by ITOK (Indonesia Tourism Office in Korea) also has a chance to introduce itself to masses from other countries by running booths and providing information about Indonesia there. The visitors can also play congklak–Indonesian traditional game–there. For us, it was a huge success thanks to the hard work and love we have for Indonesia. Seeing the audiences struggling to imitate the dance moves on their own seats, inviting them to join our Poco-Poco dance, watching their satisfied smiles and laughs, hearing those hands clapping and waving, what a view!! We did make them happy and give them sweet memories of lively Indonesia.

Leaving the details of fun and stir, I just want to provoke all of you Indonesian people out there to say it loudly and confidently: I am Indonesian and proud to be one!!
