I just happen to find yet another interesting website when fun browsed Freakonomics blog. This time it lead me to this, a poll result of TIME 100 most influential people. The blog’s amusing comment was about checking the first and second number of the list. Steven D. Lewitt inquire who are these guys. But I, proud of myself, proclaim that I know one of them. Guess who.
Well, that page tempt me to surf more. Checking the last year’s record of the same award, I report to you that there are five groups of them:
- Revolutionaries (20 names), e.g. Dalai Lama, Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin, Evo Morales, Kevin Rudd, Anwar Ibrahim
- Heroes and Pioneers (18 names), e.g. Oprah Winfrey, Brad Pitt&Angelina Jolie, Kaka, Andre Agassi, Aung San Suu Kyi, Tony Blair
- Scientists and Thinkers (19 names), e.g. Jeff Han, Paul Allen, Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Bloomberg, Nancy Brinker, Michael Griffin
- Artists and Entertainers (21 names), e.g. Robert Downey Jr., Mariah Carey, George Clooney, Takashi Murakami, Chris Rock, Suze Orman
- Builders and Titans (22 names), e.g. Steve Jobs, Radiohead, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Rupert Murdoch, Indra Nooyi, Steve Ballmer
